Big Feelings Deserve The Gentlest Start…
Born out of a wobbly moment (or two)
Hi, I'm Sara - creator of Emoties. The idea started at home, in the thick of big feelings and chaotic days with my son, who was under six at the time. Like so many parents, I'd find us both caught in a whirlwind - his emotions and mine colliding, and neither of us quite sure how to find our way back to calm.I went looking for tools that could help us name what we were feeling - something simple, playful, and young-child-friendly. We tried colour-based emotion zones, magnetic expression faces, and bingo-style games. Each one taught us something. But I kept noticing a gap: most emotional literacy resources were made for children over six. Brilliant - but not quite right for our littlest ones."I wanted something that helped children identify a feeling, give it a name and a shape, and find a way to move through it - even in the heat of the moment."
So I built it. A whole world of characters, each one a feeling - with a colour, a shape, a story, and a way to soothe.
OUR MISSION
Emotional literacy from the very first years
Through character-led storybooks, printables, card games, and colour-matching sensory toys, Emoties People helps children identify what they're feeling, understand it, and find a way through - one rhyme, one conversation, one gentle moment at a time.Because all feelings are okay. They just need to be understood, named, and cared for.Who we’re here for
